Overview
In individual therapy, the work unfolds in the space between us—a place where you can bring the parts of yourself that often remain hidden, even from those closest to you. Here, we attend not only to the stories you tell, but to what lives beneath them: the unspoken longings, the places where you feel stuck, the patterns that repeat despite your best efforts to change them. Together, we explore how your earliest relationships shaped your sense of self and continue to influence how you move through the world. We pay close attention to what arises in the room between us—moments of disconnection, surprise, or unexpected feeling—as these are not distractions but doorways into deeper understanding.

Relational Framework
My approach is rooted in relational psychoanalysis, an evidence-based framework that views the therapeutic relationship itself as the primary vehicle for transformation. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or surface-level concerns, we go beneath, tracing how your earliest relationships shaped your sense of self and continue to influence how you move through the world. In practice, this means we work collaboratively to build a relationship where what has felt hidden—painful, shameful, or resisted—can gradually become thinkable and speakable. I am not a detached interpreter, but an engaged presence. We pay close attention to what arises in the room between us: moments of disconnection, surprise, or unexpected feeling. These are not distractions from the work; they are the work—doorways into deeper understanding.

How We Work Together
In our work together, you can expect us to: • Uncover repetitive relational patterns – the ones that may keep you stuck, whether within yourself or in your relationships • Explore shifting from rigidity toward psychological flexibility – expanding your capacity to respond, rather than react • Delve into the landscape of feelings – how you experience, express, and regulate emotion, both internally and in relationship • Examine the dynamics that unfold in the therapeutic relationship itself – using what happens between us as a window into your inner and interpersonal world • Explore past and present relationships – tracing how early experiences continue to shape your current ways of loving, trusting, and connecting

Sessions
Sessions are available in person, via telehealth, or hybrid. Weekly meetings provide the consistency needed for trust to develop and for the work to unfold with depth and continuity. Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Occasionally, based on clinical need and mutual agreement, meeting twice weekly may be recommended, or an extended 80-minute session may be offered to allow for deeper exploration. The work is not linear. Change unfolds over time—through deepened understanding, lived experience in our sessions, and the gradual transformation of old patterns into new possibilities.
